Pedestrian bridge on 137 Ave CLOSED

The pedestrian bridge along 137 Avenue in Starling is CLOSED. With recent rain, the erosion has advanced on the slope at Horseshoe Creek along 137 Avenue, so the City, in collaboration with EPCOR, has closed the pedestrian footbridge. As of June, 26, 2026, the erosion has advanced to the point where a foundational pillar has fallen. DO NOT TRY TO USE THIS BRIDGE.

Barricading is in place. PLEASE obey the site signage, and do not use the bridge. 


The City and EPCOR are continually assessing the situation, and are determining a repair approach. Please see our additional news item for traffic safety measures in place.
